Thank you to the entire community and all of the Munford High School Band
supporters for making it possible to realize the dream of competing in the National USSBA Competition in Baltimore. This
press
release tells of our original goal. Through the generous support of Tipton County, the Tipton County School Board, the City of Munford, the City of Atoka,
local businesses and corporations, the
surrounding communities and the entire Munford Band family, the Munford High School Band
represented the State of
Tennessee in Baltimore. The Munford Band took 3rd place in the
nation! Congratulations!!!

The Munford High School Band is an exciting group
of young musicians striving to be the very best they can be.
Comprised of over 160 students, the Munford Band is
respected as one of the most highly recognized groups in the Southeast.
Ensembles include:
Wind Ensemble
Symphonic Ensemble
Jazz Band I
Jazz Band II
Winter Color Guard
Winter Percussion

High School Marching Band.
Munford High School Band is supported by the
Munford Middle School Bands. Beginning in sixth grade and
progressing through eighth grade, these students develop skills necessary
to place them in a competitive arena of musical exploration at MHS.
A diligent program of instruction insures that each member develops
properly and in a time schedule that insures success at the high school
level.
The financial support for the endeavors of the
Munford Bands is provided by The Munford High School Band Boosters, a
large and equally hard-working group of adults that insures that this
program represents itself to its fullest each and every time they perform.
With an annual budget well in excess of $100,000 these dedicated
followers are the bloodline to success.
The Munford High School Band performs throughout the
South in marching contest, performs formal concerts three times at MHS and
competes nationally during the Spring months. The Jazz Bands travel
the local area displaying their skills that entertain many young and old
alike.
The Munford Winter Guard and Winter Percussion
prepare and compete throughout the Spring in area events.
The Munford High School Band is a high-energy
organization that strives to both educate and entertain our city and the
surrounding areas.
