The Munford High School Band is an exciting group of young musicians striving to be the very best they can be in all venues of musical performance.

Comprised of over 180 students, grades nine through twelve, the Munford Band is respected as one of the most highly recognized groups in the Southeast.

Munford High School Band is supported by the Munford Middle School Bands. Beginning in sixth grade and progressing through eighth grade, these students develop skills necessary to place them in a competitive arena of musical exploration at MHS. A diligent program of instruction ensures that each of the 300+ middle-school members develops properly and in a time schedule that ensures success at the high school level.

The financial support for the Munford Bands is provided by The Munford High School Band Boosters, Inc. This 503C corporation is the large and equally hard-working group of adults that ensures that this program represents itself to its fullest each and every time they perform. With an annual budget well in excess of $200,000 these dedicated followers are the bloodline to success.

The Munford High School Band performs yearly throughout the nation in marching contests, performs formal concerts three times at MHS and competes nationally during the Spring months. The Jazz Bands travel the local area displaying their skills that entertain many young and old alike.

The Munford Winter Guard and Winter Percussion prepare and compete throughout the Spring in area events.

The Munford High School Band is a high-energy organization that strives to both educate and entertain our city and the surrounding areas. The MHS Band is proud to represent Munford Tennessee, and acts as an ambassador of goodwill in all its endeavors.
